Hi David,
I am a fan of Hao Chen and have been greatly influenced by him. He has faith in Rework and often talks about 37Signals with people anywhere. Since he is your fan, I should be your fan as well.
Unfortunately, he passed away on May 13th last month due to a heart attack caused by excessive work and health problems. There are many similar cases in China.
I would like to recommend Hao and his project company MegaEase, to you. You can easily find a lot of information about Hao and his company online, although most of webpages are in Chinese. Technology has no borders, and the differences in human natural language should not barrier of our communication.
I sincerely hope that you can collaborate with MegaEase and promote MegaEase cloud through social media such as Twitter and 37Signals’ podcast. It would be a powerful addition to MRSK and can help you solve significant technical challenges.
If possible, please consider becoming the new CEO of MegaEase. This is not a joke because Hao has mentioned to me many times that they are a purely engineering team and lack marketing expertise. They need a better CEO, and he hopes that you can lead the team into the farther future.
Hao has extensive influence in China’s computer technology circle. Many friends wrote articles to commemorate him and wanted to do something to help MegaEase do better. I am one of the active participants.
